A Kay is a Montessori trained guide and tutor. After a few years of being employed as an assistant teacher, she discovered a new passion for Montessori. Her transition from assistant to teacher afforded her the opportunity to evolve as a leader. She is enthusiastic about her role as a Montessori Guide because of the relationships it allows her to form with young people as they discover the world around them. Kay's professional experience includes working as a Montessori Teacher for Northeast Stars Montessori Preschool and First Baptist Church of Clarendon CDC. Kay has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the North Carolina Central University. She also has an Early Childhood and Elementary Diploma from North American Montessori Center. In her spare time, Kay enjoys reading, journaling, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her family.
