Hannah Runyon - Discovery Studio (3-5) Guide

“As a guide at The Village School, I feel fortunate to be a part of such a thoughtful team of educators who support me in taking risks and asking challenging questions. We are always trying new strategies, learning, and reflecting and I'm thankful to be a part of a community that is so eager to learn together.”

The Village School Guide Program

Leaders and visionaries in the field of education are integral to our mission at The Village School. Not only are we changing the way children learn, we are changing the way educators are compensated and supported for their talent, expertise, and vision. We have developed three leadership paths for educators who are passionate about reimagining education: Apprentice Guide, Lead Guide, and Lead Guide and Program Designer.

Lead Guide & Program Designer ($100k annual salary)

As a Lead Guide and Program Designer, you will design, lead, and implement a new learning initiative to advance our mission to give children agency in their learning. Day-to-day you will co-lead a multi-age class of learners, and build a learning environment of curiosity, collaboration, hard work, warmth, and joy. Learn more

Lead Guide ($75k starting salary)

Lead Guides will collaborate with co-guide to plan daily/weekly/yearly schedule, evaluate and refine the existing curriculum, and design and experiment with new projects, tools, and approaches. The Lead Guide will also maintain the classroom environment and document and track learner progress (student projects, achievements, and everyday activity). Learn more

Visiting Guide ($50k starting salary)

We are looking for smart, entrepreneurial individuals who are passionate about guiding children on their journey of lifelong learning. Our Guide in Residence will spend the first year learning how to work with The Village School’s learning design, processes and systems. Learn more
