Maddie is a passionate educator with a deep love for teaching and a commitment to inspiring a lifelong love of learning. Her journey into education began as a teaching intern at Horizons at the Foote School in New Haven, Connecticut, where she quickly learned what her passion was in life. From that moment, Maddie knew that she wanted to make a difference by showing others that learning can be both enjoyable and a lifelong adventure.

Coming from Connecticut, Maddie recently moved to our the area and is excited to become an active part of the local community in any way she can! She holds a degree in Global Studies from St. Lawrence University, with a strong focus on understanding the complexities of the education systems within the United States. Her thesis proposed a new vision for education, emphasizing learner-centered approaches and their advantages. Maddie is thrilled to have found a school and community that aligns with the principles she researched and discussed during her undergraduate years, and she is very passionate about the work taking place here at TVS. Maddie's ultimate goal in education is to be a mentor and guide, helping young minds navigate their educational journeys and develop a deep love and passion for learning. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and pets, and she enjoys sewing and up-cycling old clothing!
