Job Shadow Program
At The Village School, we believe that children are far more capable than the world gives them credit for, especially our middle schoolers. That's why we've made our Job Shadow program a key part of the middle school experience. By partnering with local professionals, we give young people the chance to spend a time observing real-world careers firsthand, getting an inside look at the daily responsibilities, essential skills, and work environment of a specific profession. It's a low-commitment way for employers to make a big impact on a young person's future.

Free Labor for Your Back-Burner Projects. What's that 11th item on your to-do list that you just haven't been able to get to? Our middle schoolers can tackle those back-burner tasks and learn valuable skills in the process. It's a win-win!

Minimal Time Commitment, Maximum Impact. We understand that your time is valuable, which is why we've designed our Job Shadow program to be as seamless as possible for our partners. We'll work closely with you to organize logistics (we've got transportation covered!), prepare our learners for the experience, and ensure that it's rewarding for everyone involved. We'll handle the details, so you can focus on sharing your expertise and passion with our learners.

HOW THE JOB SHADOW PROGRAM WORKS (It’s so easy!)
Visit our campus OR invite us to visit you at your work for a brief introduction.
Look for an email. Wait for a TVS learner to reach out to you expressing interest in job shadowing.
They’ll take it from there! Our learners, with support from our guide team, will take the lead on arranging logistics and creating a job shadow contract,
