Caithlin is a Northern Virginia Native who traveled all the way to The American University. After graduating with a degree in marketing, she began work with local soccer team, D.C. United. It was through the many opportunities to volunteer and reach out to the DC community that she realized her passion lay in working with children. She went back to school to get her Masters in Education at George Mason University. As she began her work in Title 1 schools in the Virginia area she quickly realized there was a deficit in how to teach children to read and went on to get a license as a Reading Specialist.

After spending time at home with her children, Caithlin found a school that checked the boxes for what she was looking for in her own kids' education. A place where they could grow as thinkers and agents of their own learning, have more freedom and choice and with plenty of time spent outside. She is excited to bring her passion for reading and guiding young people to equip themselves with the tools necessary to be lifelong learners to The Village School.
